Overview
Completion requirements
In this section we consider the following:
- Ethics, citizen science and democratisation of knowledge
- Feminist philosophy and its relevance to citizen science
- Ethics, CS and decentralisation
- Techniques and propositions for authentic learning (river of life, knowledge café, participatory mapping, stories of change, graphic facilitation)
Different perspectives on ethics (values related to different regions and various contexts) mean that we reflect on how to deal with intercultural differences, pluralism and diversity. This section includes ideas around skill sets that exist – or are required – to conduct ‘ethical’ citizen science activities and how these skills might change within a given context.
