Introduction to ethics

We begin by considering the idea of ethics using what we have found helpful to frame as ‘rings’ of ethics. The ‘ring’ of ethics interrogates ethical concerns from self through to community and universe. Here we interrogate personal values, the ideas of integrity and responsibility as an individual, a household member, community member, researcher/professional and a person within the context of environmental conservation, climate change and stewardship of the planet as a whole. These ideas are captured in the diagram below.
