Three people walking through tall grass in a field. They are all looking at an A4 notebook that the middle person, a woman, is holding.

The engagement pathway details the journey that people go on through the duration of the Train the Trainer. This essentially covers the essential aspects of training, supporting and retaining facilitators and participants. While there should be a pathway for the project as a whole, there should be a specific pathway for the Train the Trainer aspect of the work, detailing recruitment, retention, participation and resignation.

Engagement pathways usually follow three key stages – recruitment, participation and completion of the project. Planning the pathway across these stages ensures you have considered key barriers to engagement and the manner and means in which your project will engage with facilitators.
