Freelance illustrator and former social worker driven by questions of solidarity, connection, and cultural roots, Johanna Lohrengel tells stories of people who dare to dream, to play, and to take care of each other - against all the odds of the speed of modern living. Her first graphic novel Big City Violets was published in 2016. It is the visual diary of her time as a social worker supporting women involved in prostitution.
