Congratulations! You’ve reached the end of Part 2! Thank you for taking part. In this part, we took a more in-depth look into collecting data, and we discovered:

  • How to identify which data you need to collect for your project, and some of the challenges you might face in collecting that data.
  • A project which used Community-level indicators as information to help them build a bigger picture of their issue with noise pollution
  • The other types of indicators that we already collect in our daily lives using our mobile phones and other sensors, and how this can complement some of the environmental data we gather
  • The toolkits and platforms that can help us collect data, how we can learn to use them, and the ways we can plan our data collection strategies.

In part 3, we will think about what we can do with the data once we’ve collected it and we’ll consider:

  • How we can understand and interpret the data we collect, including options for data analysis
  • Other ways that we can make sense of data, or help others understand what we’ve collected, by looking and data visualisation and how to share your data.
