Section outline

    • This is a free course of two hours about the benefits of social media for citizen science projects.

It is designed to guide citizen science practitioners on how to take the most advantage of social media platforms for their citizen science projects. Prior experience with social media as a regular user is necessary for attending this course.

Many citizen science projects are present in social media, but they are not taking advantage of the full potential of these online resources. After attending this course, participants should be able to:

      • Enumerate the ways that citizen science can benefit from social media.
      • Choose the social platforms that best suit their project.
      • Implement the best strategies to enhance their social media performance and to boost the benefits generated for the citizen science project.

Click here to enrol in this course and use enrolment key CitSciSocial to do so. Once you enrol you will be able to take quizzes and receive a badge upon successful course completion.
