Introduction from the course tutor

I will now briefly outline what this course will cover. The course will first ground you in design for learning and the unique possibilities for learning through citizen science. This draws on both my experience as a citizen science practitioner and as a researcher of user-centred design. This brief introduction will give you the background knowledge you need for the main part of the training, which explores how citizen science projects can be designed and delivered to support learning outcomes, with practical tips for how learning opportunities can be built into citizen science projects.
