1. Designing training using the Logic Model framework
This module educates learners on how to use the Logic Model framework when planning training. This expands the usual focus on training content to also consider the resources needed for developing and conducting the training, the most appropriate activities to run during the training and the outputs from that, and how to reach short- and long-term goals related to the training. It introduces the Logic Model framework as a way to systematically consider all these aspects.

2. Interactive session: Design your own training
In this hands-on session, learners will use the Logic Model framework to plan their own training.

Training focus and content |
Learners consider which TIME4CS training module(s) to work with for the training they are designing (or they may decide to design their own training modules from scratch) |
Deciding on the specific topic of training is important for proper planning. Available resources should be considered for use with adaptation rather than creating new training content. |
Applying the Logic Model framework |
Each learner or group applies the Logic Model to their training opportunity, considering: Impact, Outcomes, Outputs, Activities, and Resources, and writes it on a flip-chart or Miro board. |
Application of the Logic Model to their own training context will provide learners with applied knowledge and actual information they can use for their own training. |
Presentation and feedback |
Each group or individual presents their flip-charts and Logic Models, explaining their rationale behind it. Presentations are followed by a feedback session, where peers and/or facilitators ask questions, provide constructive comments, and alternative perspectives. |
Presenting their Logic Models and rationale behind it and receiving feedback cultivates a collaborative learning environment and enhances learners’ ability to articulate and refine their ideas on their planning, development and outcomes of their training. |
Conclusion and reflection |
The session concludes with learners reflecting on their learning experience. They consider how using the Logic Model has influenced their understanding of how to plan and develop their future training sessions. |
Reflecting on the session's activities solidifies learning and allows learners to improve and refine their planning skills and consider their wanted outcomes and impact already at the planning stage. |
